The life model

Drawing from a life model is an excellent exercise to enrich your drawing practice.

The model is never completely still and the posing time is limited, so one must be accurate in observation and quick in execution.

The classes

Life drawing classes allow you to progress by integrating anatomy basics and using different construction methods and appropriate drawing techniques.

The classes offer various approaches (masses, angles, negative spaces,...) that complement each other to overcome difficulties in proportion or observation.

The session

Sessions start with short poses and end with a long pose.

Since a good drawing is better than a long speech, I perform live commented drawings to explain the process.

Classes are held in small groups (max 10 people), and I accompany you in your practice throughout the session.

The studio

The studio is equipped with easels, and I recommend using A3 formats or larger.

Any medium is fine (except paint); however, I advise working with pencils (colored, wax, graphite...).

About me

I have been drawing and painting from life models for over 15 years.

I took classes at the Art Students League (NYC) and am essentially self-taught.
